TESTIMONIAL

“Jess Lee orchestrated the best breath work experience I’ve ever had! She has a heavenly voice that guided with perfect rhythm and cadence, I could deeply trust the guidance of her voice to take me into some very deep healing releases. She held beautiful space through the breath and the sharing circle at the end. She led us all with a graceful mastery that allowed for everyone to go so deep. It was a memorable life experience being in her class” ~Mira Murphy

MY TRAINING
& LIFE EXPERIENCE

ASANA / 8 LIMBS OF YOGA
I practiced Ashtanga yoga and studied Sanskrit all through my 20’s in Manhattan, NYC. After about 10 years of that I was ready to begin teacher trainings. As a graduate of the RYT 200-hour training programs at both 7 Centers in Sedona AZ and Sedona Hot Yoga, under the esteemed guidance of Rama Joyti Vernon, Sraddhasagar, Mira Murphy and Will Duncan. To this day these three women and man are the most incredible inspiring, deep, wise, pure, loving souls I have ever met. I feel truly blessed to have gotten to study with legends. With them I delved into the ancient practices of the 8 limb path of true yoga, unlocking the secrets of The Yamas and Niyamas, Asana, Ayurveda, Herbalism, Gardening, Sanskrit, Breath Work ( Pranayama ) and Meditation. I have co-taught Sedona Hot Yoga’s Teacher Training School twice as one of the lead teachers. In these trainings I would guide new students on a journey of self-discovery and empowerment through the power of Authenticity. After all that is the whole point of the 8 Limb Path of Yoga…To find and Be yourself. I am most known and loved for my Yin + Sound Bath Class that I call, In my quest for self-mastery and personal evolution, I continue to deepen my practice, honor the Yamas & Ninyamas with my actions, deepening my meditation, yoga, and Ayurveda under the guidance of my two living teachers, Will Duncan and Mira Murphy. I now have a daily deepening practice that I created called, The Diamond Practice. I teach this class one on one and in group containers.

BREATHWORK:

Through the immersive experience of the Wim Hof Method Immersion in Dallas, TX, I embraced the transformative power of cold exposure, breathwork, and meditation, tapping into the innate resilience and vitality of the human spirit. As a Shamanic Breathwork Practitioner in Sedona, AZ, I facilitated journeys of self-discovery and transformation, guiding seekers through the labyrinth of consciousness to uncover hidden truths and unlock the gates of possibility.

CONSCIOUSNESS
:
I sought solace and introspection at two Vipassana Meditation Retreats in Shelburne, MA, delving deep into the recesses of consciousness. Guided by the weightless embrace of float tanks at The Zero Gravity Institute in Austin, Texas, I surrendered to the infinite expanse of inner space, exploring the depths of consciousness and the boundless potential within. After realizing the floating experience unwinds the mind in layers I floated 56 times. Followed by this I felt inspired by my meditation teacher (Will Duncan) to do a 3 year meditation (1,000 hour) challenge. I didn’t miss a day for 3 years. The gifts that came about in those 3 years made it obvious (through life-contrast) how important it is to devote to a stillness practice daily.

MARTIAL ARTS:

Immersed in the tapestry of Eastern wisdom and martial prowess, I delved into the profound teachings of the universal Tao under the tutelage of Mantak Chia. Guided by the expert hand and heart of Gillian Reid, I honed my Qi Gong practice to unlock the latent energies within. With Duke Amayo as my Kung Fu Sifu (teacher), I embarked on a journey through the intricate kata of Jow Ga Kung Fu, known as, The Flower Form. I have practiced and taught this form for 2 decades. In the serene sanctuaries of Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes, from the streets of Manhattan to the tranquil shores of Miami and the Sedona desert, I immersed myself in the ancient practices that harmonize mind, body, and spirit.

MUSIC ARTISTRY & SOUND BATHS:

As a Singer Songwriter in Brooklyn and a "New Neural Pathway Lullaby Producer" in Austin TX, I channeled the depths of my soul into melodic expressions of truth and beauty, weaving together the threads of sound and silence to create tapestries of healing, inspiration and awe. I have taken Paul Hubert’s infamous Holographic Sound Healing Course twice and would do it again. He’s an incredible guide into the unknown of the voice. I love sharing sound baths in my Zen Den Yin Yoga Class!

DANCE:

Venturing into the realm of somatic healing, I explored the expressive depths of Butoh Dance alongside Kiah Keya, weaving together movement and introspection in the metropolises of Manhattan and Brooklyn. For over two decades, I've traversed the landscapes of Ecstatic Dance and 5 Rhythms, surrendering to the rhythm of the universe as it pulses through my being. I had a DJ residency in Brooklyn for 5 years where I fell in love with group vibe freedom through dance. Now I lead Butoh-Ecstatic Dances!

LEVITY
:
Through the rigors of Comedy Improv training at the Upright Citizens Brigade and The People's Improv Theater in Manhattan, NYC, I cultivated the art of spontaneity and creativity, infusing every moment with levity and truth.

DETOX PRACTITIONER & HEALER
I have owned and operated my own Traveling Detox Spa, Deepen & Bloom since 2021. Having the opportunity to work with around 1000 clients now I feel confident in the unique ways I support . I have also officed from the beautiful Alive and Well Bio Hacking Spa in Austin Texas. I worked at a Liver Detox Center, called The Rejuvenation and Performance Institute. I briefly worked for a Water & Juice Cleansing and Wellness Retreat Center in Sedona called, The Sedona Wellness Retreat. I took the L.E.T Lymphatic Lymphstar Training Program to be able to offer L.E.T. therapy to my clients because deep lymphatic detox was the biggest game-changer in my healing journey. I took a Trauma-Informed Colon Hydrotherapy training program in Sedona with Lotus and also studied the colon in Thailand at a detox center called Atmanjai that revolves around the work of the original bio hacker Dr. Jensen. I studied coursework from Dr. Klinghardt's (one of the top autoimmune doctors in the world) detox academy called The Sophia Institute. I studied under Dr. Sharon Krahn's Naturopathic Guidance and learned all about detox through the lensing of her advanced contact regulation thermometry machine. I started a health advocacy program for those unable to have the cognition needed in a doctors office. I would bring my clients to Dr. Sharon and help them ask the right questions and then help them unpack and study their results. When I was bedridden I listened to hundreds of podcasts and books about human potential, healing, detox, compassion, and willpower (Aubrey Marcus, Tim Ferris, Dave Asprey, Duncan Trussell, Wim Hof, Joe Dispenza, Emily Fletcher, Russel Brand). I did a 60-day juice cleanse, 10-day juice cleanses, 3-day reset juice cleanses, and weekly one-day fasting. I continue to detox as needed and I'm now able to listen to my body and understand what it's asking for.

GOURMET HEALING CHEF WORK & DETOX COOKING
I graduated from a Master Chef Program at Living Light Culinary Institute (Fort Bragg, CA) where I learned how to make healthy detox foods taste good. I hired an Integrative Nutrition Coach in New York City to walk me through "the healthy food lifestyles and fads" so I could find what worked for my body. I took Ayurvedic Cooking Classes at 7 Centers (Sedona, AZ) to learn how to balance my mind and nervous system with food choices. I was an apprentice chef at "Pure Food & Wine '' (New York City) because it was one of the top health food restaurants in the world and I HAD to find out how they were making vegetables taste so good! I was also an apprentice Sous Chef for "Organic Avenue '' (New York City) because no one could flavor balance elixirs like them. I was the Master Chef for one of Aubrey Marcus's ONNIT Detox Retreats in Sedona. I became a consultant for a handful of Juice Bars and Wellness Retreat centers in Arizona and New York to help bring them to the next level of taste, organization, and wellness integrity. I was a Gourmet Vegan Chef for the cafe at Stewart Mineral Springs Cafe (Mt. Shasta), Maui Kombucha Cafe (Maui), the Smooch Cafe (Brooklyn), and The Eden Hot Springs pop up cafe (Eden AZ). I also have experience as a private Keto Detox Chef for a gentleman with Lyme Disease and a woman with Parkinson's. I have done group cooking for retreats and farms serving up to 50 people per meal. I was an Ayurvedic Chef for Four Yoga Teacher Trainings in Sedona at Sedona Hot Yoga & Seven Centers.

Jess Lee provided The Miracle Morning Diamond Practice each morning for our YTT for The Sedona Hot Yoga Teacher Training in Spring 2022. It was one of the most amazing parts of our gathering! It was what made getting up in the morning for another 12 hour day worth every bit. Knowing that her pointed intuition and open, beautiful heart would be guiding us, I felt I could put every ounce of trust into knowing I would be led by one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever experienced.  Jess Lee led me to the deepest depths of my inner world where I was able to process and release ancient samskaras.  Thank you Jess Lee! I’m filled with gratitude!

Jess Lee is such a light. I did her miracle mornings every day for 10 days straight. I felt more in alignment, balance, and real than I have in a long time. It's like an ancient Re-membering of the Self. I also came home from my training and didn't continue the practice for a few days… and there is a difference. I felt like I was in a funk, depressed, not myself. I realize now that the difference is the miracle morning. So I put the tools she gave me back into my practice permanently so that I can live my best life. My best life really starts with miracle morning!

In JessLee’s Miracle Mornings (I’ve attended 9 thus far and each one was so unique) I learned how important it is to cultivate internal tranquility and happiness to be fit for public consumption. I experienced the miracle practices to be about choosing to bring more peace, presence and awareness into my body, therefore positively enhancing and affecting every interaction I have with myself and other humans.  Whether it be with clients, friendships, partnerships or casual acquaintances, I’m more prepared to show up authentically, feeling so alive inside and ready to share my gifts of coaching and teaching with greater ease.  In a world of chaos and divisiveness, NOW is the time to bring more self-love and harmony into your life, and allow it to ripple out into the world.  Jess Lee is a cutting-edge leading example of what it means to live life fully heart centered, vibrantly alive with passion and vitality, speaking truth with kindness and compassion, and walking this earth for the well-being of others. JessLee is a true embodiment of her work and I wouldn’t wait one more second to take one of her offerings. Thank you JessLee for supporting me to enhance the quality of my life and up level my BHAV ✨🦋🌸🌬❤️

My experience at the Sedona Hot Yoga Teacher Training was nothing short of miraculous. Jess Lee played a huge part in it, gently holding a safe space for me to express myself and making herself available to process some challenging things that arose.  Miracle Morning was a real blessing. Beautifully singing as she filled the room with soothing sounds of singing bowls was especially uplifting.  It helped me tap more deeply into my own spirituality.  I am truly grateful for all the ways she helped me and look forward to more retreats in the future!

Bless you Jess

Ashley Price
Yoga Teacher

I spent 10 days at The Sedona Hot Yoga Teacher Training. The moment I arrived I knew the experience was going to be incredible! Jess Lee welcomed us all with a beautiful sage experience. Every morning we arrived on our yoga mats Jess Lee shared a beautiful experience with us called Miracle Morning. I now can’t imagine my life without  it. Jess Lee also gave us the yogic tools to incorporate into our daily lives. Everyday was different but with the same elements, we also sang a beautiful peace mantra each morning. Jess Lee’s voice is angelic. Each morning we woke up our spine with a beautiful yin practice and some meditation with pranayama. Jess Lee is very knowledgeable and walks her talk she has a light in her you just want to capture and take with you! I’m truly grateful for her teachings and my 10 days with her.

Miracle Morning
The Diamond Practice

In the first hour of Miracle Morning you will be diving into the inner world with 4 of the eight limbs of yoga. The intentions of this yogic container is to liberate ourselves from mind chatter, deepening our connection with our divinity, and deepen our relationship with the highest form of divine love. These practices turn up the volume of our intuition and the subtle guidance from the unseen.
(all religious beliefs welcome)

1.) Asana:
Asana is yogic postures that prepare the body for a deeper meditative state and “yoke” the body, mind and spirit together. We salute the sun and then go deep into the wild world of fascia with yin postures that will make you as flexible as Gumby!

2.) Pranayama:
Pranayama is breathwork. Breathwork helps you clear any current mind chatter so you have an easier time being present in the now. Breathwork can be a great tool for survivors of trauma to make their way back into their bodies and begin the process of having fewer and fewer moments of dissociation.

3.) Dharana:
Dharana is the practice of concentration on an object so we can begin to draw inward. We will be using the flame from candles to focus and hold our attention so we can begin to lengthen our attention span for our meditation practice.

4.) Dhyana:
Dhyana is meditative absorption or a space we reach within when we become able to be completely absorbed in the focus of our meditation. Just as no two snow flakes are alike…this space looks different for each person in the world. Yet, we are connecting at the same space of love and oneness with the whole. All of the work we do with Asana, Pranayama, and Dharana is to help us settle our mind, focus and concentrate so that the spontaneous beauty of Dhyana can take hold.

5.) Mettavana:
Loving Kindness Practice mixed with
a beautiful live sound bath
and Prayer

6.) The Dragon Class: Flower Form Kata
Practice an ancient Jow Ga Kung Fu Kata to add more strength to your day!

All levels of health + stamina + stages + ages welcome!
My youngest student was 7 and my oldest so far was 78!
I also did these practices when I could barely move
(due to health challenges they were such a huge support in that process!
I will meet you where you are at.

ABOUT
JOW GA KUNG FU

As mentioned above the fusion of martial arts in the Flower Flow workshop has it’s roots in Jow Ga Kung Fu. “The Flower Form” is a Kata that  was founded by Jow Lung who was born in 1891, in the Sa Fu Village of the Canton Province, and died in 1919.  At the time of  Jow Ga Kung Fu’s inception, this particular style of Kung Fu was labeled as having the head of  Hung, and the tail of Choy Gar and the patterns of the tiger and leopard or simply Hung Tao Choy Mei. It was so labeled because the essential techniques incorporated the muscular and mighty movements of Hung Gar and the swift footwork and complex kicking of Choy Gar, making it a very effective form of self defense with emphasis on simultaneous attack and defense.

ABOUT MY
KUNG FU
SIFU

My Jow Ga Kung Fu Sifu (Teacher) is the wonderful inspiring Duke Amayo.  I am forever blessed by learning The Flower Form Kata from this beautiful man.  Amayo is a senior master of the Jow Ga Kung Fu School of martial arts, rooted in the ancient Shaolin school. He has been studying, performing, and teaching Kung Fu for 25 years. He choreographed a kung fu/movement piece for the Washington Ballet, and has guest taught hundreds of NYC public school children for the National Dance Institute.

Sifu Amayo has also trained and performed the role of the Lion Head in traditional Chinese Lion Dance for over 20 years. The Ancient Chinese Lion Dance is one of China’s most celebrated traditions. It is a high-energy performance where professional martial artists don the elaborately decorated two-person Chinese Lion body (head and tail), bringing to life a rich oral history that spans many generations of Chinese folklore.

The Lion is a symbol of strength and prosperity and is considered to be good luck by all who cross its path. Sifu Amayo begins his one of a kind FU-Show by calling the lion to life, performing a salutation ritual and paving the way for dance and celebration of our limitless possibilities. The Lion may be playful and happy, fierce, or bashful, depending on the mood.

British-born of Nigerian parents, Amayo's spirit was first ignited at Fela's club, The Shrine, in Lagos, Nigeria. While growing up in Lagos, his primary passions were dancing and practicing Kung Fu to the rhythms of funk and Afrobeat. It was then that the seed of Afrobeat was first implanted within him. As the lead singer, percussionist  for Antibalas, Amayo has ignited festival crowds and packed audiences into a frenzy across four continents.

Continuing in the tradition of Fela Kuti, Amayo presents the world with his one-of-a-kind style of music, dance, and martial arts - FU-ARKIST-RA. In addition to composing and arranging all the songs, Amayo sings and plays piano and organ intermixed with charged performances of traditional African lyrics and movement. He has opened for James Brown, performed with The Roots, Tony Allen, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Baaba Maal, and with Michael Franti and Spearhead.
